Raman and Raman Optical Activity (ROA) spectra of N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NALC), a flexible chiral molecule, were measured in water and in methanol to evaluate the solvent effects. Two different solvation approaches, that is, the DFT based “clusters-in-a-liquid” solvent model and the ab initio molecular dynamics (AIMD) simulations, were applied to simulate the Raman and ROA spectra. Systematic conformational searches were carried out using a recently developed conformational searching tool, CREST, with the inclusion of polarizable continuum model of water and of methanol. The CREST candidates of NALC and the NALC-solvent complexes were re-optimized and their Raman and ROA simulations were done at the B3LYP−D3BJ/def2-TZVP and the B3LYP-aug-cc-pVDZ//cc-pVTZ levels. Also, AIMD simulations, which includes some anharmonic effects and all intermolecular interactions in solution, were performed. By empirically weighting the computed Raman and ROA spectra of each conformer, good agreements with the experimental data were achieved with both approaches, while AIMD offered some improvements in the carbonyl and in the low wavenumber regions over the static DFT approach. The pros and cons of these two different approaches for accounting the solvent effects on Raman and ROA of this flexible chiral system will also be discussed.  相似文献

The additive-free tetrazine/enol ether click reaction was performed in ultra-high vacuum (UHV) with an enol ether group covalently linked to a silicon surface: Dimethyl 1,2,4,5-tetrazine-3,6-dicarboxylate molecules were coupled to the enol ether group of a functionalized cyclooctyne which was adsorbed on the silicon (001) surface via the strained triple bond of cyclooctyne. The reaction was observed at a substrate temperature of 380 K by means of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). A moderate energy barrier was deduced for this click reaction in vacuum by means of density functional theory based calculations, in good agreement with the experimental results. This UHV-compatible click reaction thus opens a new, flexible route for synthesizing covalently bound organic architectures.  相似文献

The CompassR (computer-assisted recombination) rule enables, among beneficial substitutions, the identification of those that can be recombined in directed evolution. Herein, a recombination strategy is systematically investigated to minimize experimental efforts and maximize possible improvements. In total, 15 beneficial substitutions from Bacillus subtilis lipase A (BSLA), which improves resistance to the organic cosolvent 1,4-dioxane (DOX), were studied to compare two recombination strategies, the two-gene recombination process (2GenReP) and the in silico guided recombination process (InSiReP), employing CompassR. Remarkably, both strategies yielded a highly DOX-resistant variant, M4 (I12R/Y49R/E65H/N98R/K122E/L124K), with up to 14.6-fold improvement after screening of about 270 clones. M4 has a remarkably enhanced resistance in 60 % (v/v) acetone (6.0-fold), 30 % (v/v) ethanol (2.1-fold), and 60 % (v/v) methanol (2.4-fold) compared with wild-type BSLA. Molecular dynamics simulations revealed that attracting water molecules by charged surface substitutions is the main driver for increasing the DOX resistance of BSLA M4. Both strategies and obtained molecular knowledge can likely be used to improve the properties of other enzymes with a similar α/β-hydrolase fold.  相似文献

In this contribution we report on the synthesis, characterization and application of water-soluble zinc(II) phthalocyanines, which are decorated with four or eight umbelliferone moieties for photodynamic therapy (PDT). These compounds are linked peripherally to zinc(II) phthalocyanine by a triethylene glycol linker attached to pyridines, leading to cationic pyridinium units, able to increase the water solubility of the system. Beside their photophysical properties they were analyzed concerning their cellular distribution in human hepatocyte carcinoma (HepG2) cells as well as their phototoxicity towards HepG2 cells, Gram-positive (S. aureus strain 3150/12 and B. subtilis strain DB104) and Gram-negative bacteria (E. coli strain UTI89 and E. coli strain Nissle 1917). At low light doses and concentrations, they exhibit superb antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive bacteria as well as anti-tumor activity against HepG2. They are even capable to inactivate Gram-negative bacteria, whereas the dark toxicity remains low. These unique water-soluble compounds can be regarded as all-in-one type photosensitizers with broad applications ranges in the future.  相似文献

By using the crystalline precursor decomposition approach and direct co-precipitation the composition and mesostructure of cobalt-based spinels can be controlled. A systematic substitution of cobalt with redox-active iron and redox-inactive magnesium and aluminum in a cobalt spinel with anisotropic particle morphology with a preferred 111 surface termination is presented, resulting in a substitution series including Co3O4, MgCo2O4, Co2FeO4, Co2AlO4 and CoFe2O4. The role of redox pairs in the spinels is investigated in chemical water oxidation by using ceric ammonium nitrate (CAN test), electrochemical oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and H2O2 decomposition. Studying the effect of dominant surface termination, isotropic Co3O4 and CoFe2O4 catalysts with more or less spherical particles are compared to their anisotropic analogues. For CAN-test and OER, Co3+ plays the major role for high activity. In H2O2 decomposition, Co2+ reveals itself to be of major importance. Redox active cations in the structure enhance the catalytic activity in all reactions. A benefit of a predominant 111 surface termination depends on the cobalt oxidation state in the as-prepared catalysts and the investigated reaction.  相似文献

The preparation of composites by thermoforming of intermingled fibre slivers is an efficient method to receive high performance and lightweight materials. Cellulosic fibres have benefits like low density and sustainability but the sorption of water due to the high hydrophilicity of the cellulose requires attention. The swelling of the wet fibres changes the fibre-matrix adhesion and as a consequence, the mechanical strength of the composite is influenced negatively. In this study, the thermoplastic polypropylene was combined with lyocell fibres as reinforcement. Moisture sorption isotherms of cellulose/polypropylene composites were recorded as function of relative humidity. Additionally, the specific surface area was analysed by the Brunauer–Emmett–Teller model. It has been found, that the moisture sorption is influenced by the polypropylene (PP) ratio in the composites. At 60% relative humidity the moisture uptake of the lyocell fibres was reduced from 10.8 to 5.8% for lyocell embedded in a composite with 50% polypropylene. Besides the hysteresis between moisture sorption/desorption cycles was found to be proportional to the increased content of PP. The “Parallel Exponential Kinetics” (PEK) model was used to analyse the kinetics of moisture sorption of these composites in more detail. With the help of the PEK model the sorption/desorption kinetics were described by a fast and slow moisture sorption/desorption process. The capacity for rapid moisture sorption is reduced by the formation of PP layers on the lyocell surface. The share of slow moisture sorption increased with increasing PP content in the composite. The results support understanding of the interaction of water with cellulose containing composites.  相似文献

The deep blue, paramagnetic Cs2[TcII(NO)F5] is formed during reactions of pertechnetate, acetohydroxamic acid, and CsF in aqueous HF. A reaction of Cs2[Tc(NO)F5] with BF3 · MeOH in acetonitrile gives yellow blocks of the fluorido‐bridged dimer [{TcI(NO)(CH3CN)4}2F](BF4)3. The compound is stable as solid and in acetonitrile solutions. The complex cation contains a bent μ‐F ligand and two linear nitrosyl groups.  相似文献

We study the recovery of Hermitian low rank matrices XCn×n from undersampled measurements via nuclear norm minimization. We consider the particular scenario where the measurements are Frobenius inner products with random rank-one matrices of the form ajaj? for some measurement vectors a1,,am, i.e., the measurements are given by bj=tr(Xajaj?). The case where the matrix X=xx? to be recovered is of rank one reduces to the problem of phaseless estimation (from measurements bj=|x,aj|2) via the PhaseLift approach, which has been introduced recently. We derive bounds for the number m of measurements that guarantee successful uniform recovery of Hermitian rank r matrices, either for the vectors aj, j=1,,m, being chosen independently at random according to a standard Gaussian distribution, or aj being sampled independently from an (approximate) complex projective t-design with t=4. In the Gaussian case, we require mCrn measurements, while in the case of 4-designs we need mCrnlog?(n). Our results are uniform in the sense that one random choice of the measurement vectors aj guarantees recovery of all rank r-matrices simultaneously with high probability. Moreover, we prove robustness of recovery under perturbation of the measurements by noise. The result for approximate 4-designs generalizes and improves a recent bound on phase retrieval due to Gross, Krahmer and Kueng. In addition, it has applications in quantum state tomography. Our proofs employ the so-called bowling scheme which is based on recent ideas by Mendelson and Koltchinskii.  相似文献

Hsu and Robbins (Proc. Nat. Acad. Sci. USA 33, 25–31, 1947) introduced the concept of complete convergence as a complement to the Kolmogorov strong law, in that they proved that \( {\sum }_{n=1}^{\infty } P(|S_{n}|>n\varepsilon )<\infty \) provided the mean of the summands is zero and that the variance is finite. Later, Erd?s proved the necessity. Heyde (J. Appl. Probab. 12, 173–175, 1975) proved that, under the same conditions, \(\lim _{\varepsilon \searrow 0} \varepsilon ^{2}{\sum }_{n=1}^{\infty } P(| S_{n}| \geq n\varepsilon )=EX^{2}\), thereby opening an area of research which has been called precise asymptotics. Both results above have been extended and generalized in various directions. Some time ago, Kao proved a pointwise version of Heyde’s result, viz., for the counting process \(N(\varepsilon ) ={\sum }_{n=1}^{\infty }1\hspace *{-1.0mm}\text {{I}} \{|S_{n}|>n\varepsilon \}\), he showed that \(\lim _{\varepsilon \searrow 0} \varepsilon ^{2} N(\varepsilon )\overset {d}{\to } E\,X^{2}{\int }_{0}^{\infty } 1\hspace *{-1.0mm}\text {I}\{|W(u)|>u\}\,du\), where W(?) is the standard Wiener process.
